The Accommodation

The hotel has 48 guest rooms and suites, all of which are decorated in a sophisticated style using a mixture of pastel shades and warm terracotta to create an elegant atmosphere. There is a choice of rooms, suites and apartments as well as a selection of private villas arranged in the grounds.

Each room in the hotel features a balcony or terrace with a beautiful garden or bay view, satellite TV with DVD player (on request), telephone, safe, iPod dock, WiFi and an en suite marble bathroom complete with bathrobes and slippers. Suites, like the 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, also feature a spacious living area and larger balcony, terrace or solarium. The Master Suite offers guests all of the aforementioned amenities yet is set apart in terms of its modern style, furniture and white stone floors.

Deluxe Room (40m², sleeping up to 3) on the ground or first floor, double/twin room with room for an extra bed, en suite with bath and shower and a balcony or terrace with sea or garden views.

Junior Suite (50-60m², sleeping up to 3) double bedroom with room for an extra bed, separate living room, en suite with bath and shower and a balcony with views of the gardens or sea.

Suite (60m², sleeping up to 3) double/twin bedroom with room for an extra bed, separate living room, en suite with bath and shower and a balcony with garden of sea views.

Sea Master Suite (70m², sleeping up to 3) double/twin bedroom with room for an extra bed, separate living room, en suite with bath and shower and a balcony with sea views.

2 Bedroom Suite (70-80m², sleeping up to 4) 2 double/twin bedrooms, 1 bath/shower room and terrace or balcony with views over the gardens. Also available with 2 bathrooms (85m2).

2 Bedroom Apartment (120m², sleeping up to 4) 2 double/twin bedrooms, 2 bath/shower rooms and terrace or balcony overlooking the sea.

Prestige Apartment (200m², sleeping up to 4) 2 double/twin bedrooms, living room with small kitchenette, 2 bath/shower rooms and a terrace with private pool overlooking the sea and the citadel.

The Restaurants & Bars

La Table by La Villa is the hotel’s exceptionally elegant bistro restaurant, which serves a range of tantalising cuisine using locally sourced ingredients to demonstrate the richness and wealth of Corsican gastronomy.  Complimentary sunbeds and parasols area also available for guests use.

Hotel La Villa also features 2 bars, the Pool Bar and Jo’s Bar. With its refined and tranquil ambience, Jo’s Bar offers its guests a comfortable area to relax and sip a drink surrounded by works of art whilst the poolside bar is open from 01/06-15/09 and offers a selection of light dishes and cocktails by one of the hotel’s outdoor swimming pools.  

The Facilities

The hotel has a total of 4 outdoor swimming pools (2 heated) which are arranged across the hotel grounds, some of which overlook the Bay of Calvi or the citadel. These include a children’s swimming pool and there is also a heated indoor pool situated in the hotel spa.

The amphitheatre in the gardens features classical music evenings in high season.

A full-size all-weather surface tennis court overlooking the town and the sea is also at the disposal of all guests and lessons with a WTA qualified teacher can be arranged (extra cost).

The hotel can arrange a variety of unique experiences including watersports, diving, boat charters, yoga, Pilates plus horse riding, rafting, biking, hiking, wine tasting, jeep hire and golf at the nearby 9-hole Reginu course (all extra cost). 

The reception can arrange babysitting on request (extra cost) and room service is available (extra cost).

 There is a small boutique where a range of high-class clothing, swimwear and jewellry can be purchased.

The Local Area

Originally a small fishing port, Calvi has always been a historically significant town, having been occupied by the Genoese, who built the town’s impressive citadel, was the host to the Siege of Calvi in which Horatio Nelson lost an eye and is also reputed to be the birthplace of Christopher Columbus.

The town features a selection of excellent bars, restaurants and cafés as well as an idyllic 6.5km sandy beach next to the cosmopolitan marina and overlooked by the old town. With its gently shelving sands, turquoise waters and fantastic position, the beach is widely considered to be one of the most picturesque on the island yet is rarely busy outside of the high season. A magnet for opulent yachts and their well-heeled owners, Calvi is one of the most popular tourist towns on the island.
