Very nice hotel, excellent rooms and staff. Best location in town, beautiful sunset views from sea view bedrooms, lovely pool terrace and easily accessible private beach with great snorkelling. Very good breakfast on the terrace, nice bar and snack lunches and easy walk to all of the restaurants in town. 2 minute walk to the railway station for a day trip to beautiful Calvi and walking distance from the ferry.

Hotel Santa Maria has bright, spacious and immaculately presented rooms which are equipped with a minibar, hairdryer, safe, satellite TV, telephone, air conditioning WiFi and an en suite bath and/or shower room. Each room also benefits from a private terrace or a balcony, some with a sea view and some rooms interconnect (suitable for families).

Standard Room(sleeping 2) double/twin bedroom on the ground floor, en suite bath and/or shower room and views over the parking area.

Classic Room(sleeping 2) double/twin bedroom with room for an extra bed (on request), en suite bath and/or shower room and a furnished terrace.

Guests at the Hotel Santa Maria can enjoy an excellent continental buffet breakfast either in the hotel breakfast room, on the terrace overlooking the bay or, if preferred, in their room and the small hotel bar offers snacks for guests during the day.

Dinner is available in the hotel restaurant with beautiful outdoor terrace overlooking the sea. The restaurant serves a variety of homemade fish, meat and pasta dishes all made using local, fresh products a la carte from 15th June to 20th September and a set menu is available in April, May and October.  Lunch is also available in July and August.

Hotel Santa Maria has a small reserved beach with direct access from the hotel, a swimming pool and jacuzzi with a terrace and sunbeds. The hotel can organise a variety of activities for guests including boat trips, private excursions, hiking and horse riding.

The port opposite the hotel offers watersports including sailing, kayaking and paddle boarding + jetski and rib rental (extra cost). The hotel is 200m from the railway station from where the ‘U Trinighellu’ tourist train goes as far as Calvi to the west or inland to Corte and onto Ajaccio on the west coast. 

Situated at the northern most part of the town, this hotel is just 5 minute walk away from the centre of the charming town of L’Île Rousse, named after the red granite islets now linked to the town by a causeway built by Pasquale Paoli when he created the port in 1758. Whilst architecturally more reminiscent of buildings found in southern France, this beautiful town still retains an authentic Corsican atmosphere.

A pleasant evening pastime is to sit beneath the plane trees and date palms in the central square, Place Paoli, with an aperitif or a coffee, watching games of pétanque and listening to the locals chatting in the island’s own language - Corsu.

There is a small market on the edge of the square where a variety of fresh Corsican produce can be purchased, and there is also an excellent selection of restaurants and bars. This is one of the warmest towns on the island with shelter from the Balagne hills and with the gently sloping sandy beaches, L’Ile Rousse is a holiday favourite with couples and families alike.
