Grand Hotel Cala Rossa & Spa

This boutique hotel has 39 unique guest rooms and suites arranged over 4 floors (no lift), all elegantly furnished with typical Corsican touches, varying in size, some with terrace or balcony with sea glimpses or garden views. They all include air conditioning, en suite shower rooms (some with bath), minibar, safe, flat-screen TV and WiFi. 

Standard Room(Approx. 22-26 m², sleeps 2) Comfortable and elegantly styled with large double bed, en suite shower room, no terrace or balcony. 
Grand Confort Room(Approx. 30-36 m², sleeps 2 adults + 1 child up to 12yrs) Spacious and bright, these rooms include a terrace and elegant furnishings including double bed, bathroom (bath and/or shower), most have separate or partially separated WC and south facing balcony with sea glimpses through the pine trees.
Junior Suites: Oriu, Pinu, Nepita (Approx. 35-50 m², sleeps 2 + 1/ 2 children) Spacious and bright, these rooms include elegant furnishings, king-size bed plus sitting area (some with sofa bed), some have bunk beds (for children), bathroom with both bath & shower, separate WC in most cases, and balcony with garden view.

Tilva Suite(60 m², sleeps 2 adults + 1 / 2 children) Elegant and serene creating a luxurious space for couples or families with double bedroom, separate living area with sofa bed, marble bathroom with two washbasins, bathtub & shower, separate WC, large south facing terrace with sea glimpses through the pine trees.
Ederra Suite(Approx. 50 m², sleeps 2 adults + 1 / 2 children) A charming family suite with one main bedroom, bathroom with bath & shower, children’s area with bunk beds, spacious south-facing terrace with sea glimpses though pine trees may block some views. 
Scopa Suite(Approx.60 m², sleeps 2 adults + 1 / 2 children) Generously sized family suite with 2-bedroom layout (one main bedroom + children’s bedroom), with two bathrooms, balcony with garden view.
Tree House “Bamboo”(Approx. 37 m², sleeps 2) A very special option perched above ground level in tree house style with one bedroom with large bed, large bathroom with both Italian shower & bath, separate toilet, south-facing, with a small terrace and sea view. 
 

Cala Rossa offers refined dining in several settings:
La Pinède Beachside restaurant: For lunches (and dinners in season) for relaxed meals on the seafront terrace under the pine trees with a mouth-watering menu featuring the finest local produce, some from the hotels impressive kitchen garden. There is a hint of Italy on some evenings, with a choice of delicious classic pasta dishes and sweets include light and original desserts and delicious home-made ice creams and sorbets.
La Pinède Garden Terrace: For gourmet breakfast and dinners under the secular pines with a gourmet menu that evolves throughout the season. Daily dinner suggestions include langoustines of Cap Corse in fine tartare, the tomato heart of beef confit on a burratine cream, the local peach roasted in the oven, the medallions of sweetbreads with erba baronna, the chocolate soufflé Guanaja.
U Sognu Beach Bar(June – Sept, closed Thursdays): For dinner facing the sea, an Asian breeze takes over the beach bar every night! Simple and tasty cuisine with local products combined with vegetables from the kitchen garden such as local amberjack tataki, revisited Karrage chicken, green langoustine curry.
I Piattini (Corsican tapas): A menu of small sharing dishes served in the gardens: semolina rice with botargo, crescentine stuffed with mozzarella and confit tomato, prawn carpaccio with fresh herb oil, tender octopus pan-fried with garlic and citron, and sweet treats of the day to enjoy with a glass of wine or a house cocktail.
Sunday Brunch around a brasero providing spot-on grills and a buffet with a thousand-and-one tasty treats.
Picnics can be arranged, Children’s menu available and room service (extra cost).

There is an elegant indoor bar with garden terrace open in the evenings for pre-dinner cocktails, and La Pinède beach bar for drinks and cocktails throughout the day. Complimentary natural drinks are served in the gardens created by the Nucca spa.

Dress code: Evening dining in the main restaurant requires smart-casual / long trousers for men after 7pm.

The hotel boasts a picturesque private beach with sun loungers and parasols, along with secluded seating areas and sun terraces nestled among trees, and a protected swimming area. A wooden pontoon extends over the water, offering seating and access to daily complimentary sailing trips (11:00–12:30) to San Cyprien Bay. Boat hire and boat trips can also be organised, along with watersports including windsurfing, paddle boarding and kayaking (extra cost).
Guests can enjoy water aerobics and yoga, weather permitting, either by the pontoon or in the spa with private instruction. 
The hotel reception offers hotel and local information, an adjacent boutique and a wine room offering tastings.
Cala Rossa’s kitchen garden, just steps from the kitchens, is a verdant paradise of vegetables and aromatic herbs—perfect for a relaxing stroll and a source of inspiration for the hotel’s gourmet cuisine.
Bicycles are available to discover the nearby beaches and there are local hiking routes that can be recommended by the hotel.

The Spa Nucca is the hotel’s complimentary wellness centre, using natural care products drawn from the Corsican maquis. Relaxation features include indoor heated pool, sauna, hammam, various body/massage treatments (on reservation, extra cost), plus a hair salon. The spa is a serene retreat designed for rest, beauty and well-being. 

The hotel is situated in the gated private park of Lecci, 10 km from Porto-Vecchio. The beach at Cala Rossa itself is beautiful, often quieter (thanks to private access), with bays and coves to explore. 

Porto Vecchio is the third largest town on the island overlooking the magnificent Gulf of Porto Vecchio and is a favourite with those seeking a more cosmopolitan resort whilst still retaining an underlying Corsican charm. Chic and stylish while retaining its authenticity, the town is in two parts; the old town, which offers a vibrant buzz with its numerous shops, cafés and the marina lined with restaurants and home to impressive yachts. With its reputation for being the liveliest town on the island and spectacular beaches within easy reach it has seen visitors including Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni, Kate Moss, Lewis Hamilton and Paris Hilton. The town was the starting point for the 2013 Tour de France and consequently attracts keen cyclists from far and wide.

Other beautiful beaches within short drive include La Plage de Saint Cyprien (3.5km), Pinerello (9km), Palombaggia (23km).
