With 1,000km of unspoilt coastline, this beautiful island boasts an array of over 200 secluded, spotless and simply stunning sandy, pebbly and rocky beaches.

As well as the larger, popular beaches, tucked away along the beautiful Corsican coastline are also a number of hidden gems; peaceful, stunning and unspoilt, these gold and turquoise coves provide the perfect reward for those willing to search off the beaten track.

Wherever you choose to stay in Corsica, you will never be too far from a beautiful coastline and the crystal clear, turquoise waters that envelop the island; from the translucent waters of Rondinara and Palombaggia beaches in the south east, the sweeping golden sands of Campomoro and Portigliolo in the south west, the child friendly beaches of Calvi & L'Île Rousse in the north west and the famous remote white sands of Saleccia and Lodo beaches at the base of Cap Corse, this enchanting Mediterranean island has some of the cleanest, clearest waters in the world.

La Balagne & The North East

L’Île Rousse

With fishing trips, watersports, fine sand and clear water, the main beaches at L’Île Rousse are conveniently situated adjacent to the centre of the town and, with a number of restaurants on the beaches, make it very popular amongst tourists.

Lozari

A beautiful, large and steeply shelved beach which is often less crowded than its more popular neighbours. It also offers a range of watersports including jet ski hire.

Calvi

Home to one of the more popular beaches on the island, Calvi is a fantastic location for children. The gently sloping beach provides peace of mind for parents travelling with little ones and the large selection of restaurants fringing the sands and many watersports providers makes it easy to spend an entire day on the sand.

Algajola

A vast sweep of sand leading east from the village centre, the orientation offers some of the best surfing available on the island.

Saleccia & Lodo

Voted the number 1 secret beach in Europe by SkyScanners, Saleccia can only be reached by boat or a 15km walk, hence the fact it is seldom busy. Lodo, a little further east is a smaller version of the same - fine, golden sand with a backdrop of the Corsican maquis.

Perajola (Ostriconi)

Consistently one of the quieter beaches due to its rather difficult access down a steep pathway and then the need to wade through the Ostriconi river, this beach has fine, white sand and faces south west therefore benefitting from the cooling prevailing wind.

L'Extreme Sud

Pinarellu

Situated 7km north of Porto Vecchio with a beautiful view of the Genoese tower and framed by a pine forest and featured by Time Out magazine.

Rondinara

An almost perfect circle of golden sand encompassing a lagoon of shallow, turquoise water.

Palombaggia

Arguably one of the best beaches on the island.

Santa Giulia

A beautiful white sand beach in a secluded bay, popular with watersports enthusiasts and can get busy during the peak months.

Piantarella

Sparkling white sand with azure water with a backdrop of white chalk outcrops make this a very popular beach, especially being so close to Bonifacio.

Valinco & West Coast

Campomoro

Flanked by traditional granite houses and restaurants, this unspoilt bay is overlooked by the most intact Genoese watchtower on the island and is a popular spot amongst tourists and locals alike.

Capo di Feno

Situated around 20km north west of Ajaccio, this beautiful bay can only be reached via one of two sinuous roads. This disadvantage contributes to it being an ideal location for those seeking a bit of peace and quiet, even during July and August.

Cupabia

A 15 minute drive north west of Porto Pollo, this large, shallow bay with white sand is tucked away in the shelter of maquis - the local cows roam the local area here and are frequent visitors to the beach.

Roccapina

Overlooked by the 'Lion of Roccapina', access is via a rather uneven, unsurfaced track leading from the main road north of Bonifacio, the small bay has turquoise water and golden sand with a backdrop of red rocks that rise steeply behind. (The much larger but less picturesque beach of Cala Erbaju is just around the headland.)
